Canada, being a fairly new country doesn’t have much in the way of castles. So when I heard about Casa Loma I was quite surprised. It’s a preserved mansion located in Toronto and it does look very castle like. It once belonged to financier Sir Henry Pellatt who introduced electricity to Canada. It is full of decorate suites, secret passages, stables, 5-acre estate gardens, and not to mention it has gorgeous chandeliers everywhere, I was totally mesmerized by them. In fact, I stood for an hour staring at them.
Being Polish and having toured many castles in Poland when I was a kid, I felt a little nostalgic walking through this beautiful building. And the best part is Casa Loma is available to host weddings!
